विद्युतकार एवं विद्युतकार वव्यवसाय ( Electrician and Electrician trade)
व्यवसायिक प्रशिक्षण की वह शाखा जिसमे बिजली से चलने वाली उपकरणों की निर्माण, उनके अनुरक्षण और मरमत आदि के बारे में पूर्ण ज्ञान प्रदान किया जाता है, विद्युतकर कहलाती है। इस ट्रेड के अंतर्गत इलेक्ट्रिक मोटर, जनरेटर अल्टरनेट, इन्वर्टर , कनवर्टर, ट्रांसफार्मर तथा घरेलू वायरिंग के अनुरक्षण एवं मरम्मत करने का प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है।
वह कारीगर जो बिजली से चलने वाले उपकरणों का निर्माण एवं मरम्मत कार्य है उसे विद्युतकार(Electrician) कहते है।
That branch of vocational training in which complete knowledge is provided about the manufacture, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, etc., is called Electricity Tax.Under this trade, training is given in the maintenance and repair of electric motor, generator alternator, inverter, converter, transformer and domestic wiring.
The artisan who is involved in the manufacture and repair of electrical appliances is called an electrician.
विद्युतकार व्यवसाय का महत्व ( importance of the elctrical trade)
आज बिजली से चलने वाले उपकरणों उपयोग जीवन का लगभग सभी क्षेत्रों में होता है, अतः इलेक्ट्रीशियन समाज एवं प्रत्येक उद्योग का एक आवश्यक अंग बन चुका है । यूरोप आदि देशों में एक इलेक्ट्रिशियन को एक इंजीनियर के समकक्ष माना जाता है क्योंकि मशीनों को चलाने में इलेक्ट्रिशियन का महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है। अतः इलेक्ट्रिशियन ट्रेड एक महत्त्वपर्ण व्यवसाय है और आने वाला समय में भी इसका महत्व कम नहीं होगा ।

व्यवसाय का भविष्य ( Future prospects of Electrician Trade )
वर्तमान समय में जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में बिजली का उपयोग दिन प्रति दिन बढ़ रहा है इसके साथ ही इलेक्ट्रीशियनो की भी आवश्यकता बढ़ रहा है एक दक्ष एवं प्रशिक्षित इलेक्ट्रीशियन स्वयं अपना व्यवसाय कर सकता है। और दूसरो को भी रोजगार उपलब्ध करा सकता है। आज वर्तमान समय में इस ट्रेड की विभिन्न सखाएं है। उदाहरणस्वरूप मोटर वाइंडिंग, पंप सेट मैकेनिक, कुलार्स एवं फैन मैकेनिक, औद्योगिक वायरिंग मैकेनिक आदि उत्पन्न हो गई है जिसमे इलेक्ट्रीशियन ट्रेड का क्षेत्र बहुत विकसित एवं विस्तृत हो चुका है और इसी आधार पर कहा जा सकता है कि इलेक्ट्रीशियन ट्रेड का भविष्य पूर्णतः सुरक्षित एवं उज्वल है।
